WCT - Western Consolidated Technologies
PTFE Parts, Lathe-Cut Parts, Rubber Parts, Plastic Manufacturer
Component design, material selection, manufacturability and quality are just a few of the key parameters WCT Elastomer Division explores before determining which of our processes are best suited to a customer project.
Material capabilities span thermoset to thermoplastic elastomers.
PTFE’s remarkable resistance to chemicals, heat and friction have made it an indispensable material in thousands of products.
As a custom fabricator, specializing in the application of PTFE and other engineering grade polymers, WCT Fluoropolymer Division delivers a virtually endless variety of alloys and shapes.
Lathe-cut Parts - WCT is a world leader in the manufacture of lathe-cut parts.
Other Rubber Parts - We also offer extruded, molded, and die-cut parts in rubber and TPE.
Plastic and PTFE parts - Our full service line includes plastic and PTFE parts including insert molded parts.
Materials:
- Natural Rubber - High resilience, good extrusion resistance, excellent tensile properties. Not recommended for fluid or ozone applications.
- Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) - Good water resilience, best in organic acids and moderate chemicals. Not recommended for ozone, fuels, oils greases or hydrocarbons.
- Nitrile (NBR)* - General purpose, oil resistant, good compression set, abrasion resistant. Not recommended for ozone, chlorinated or nitro hydrocarbons or solvents such as MEK or acetone.
- Neoprene - General purpose high resilience, low compression set, good in animal an vegetable oils. Not recommended for ozone, chlorinated or nitro hydrocarbons or solvents such as MEK or acetone.
- Butyl - Good in ozone, sunlight, oils and oxidizing chemicals. Not recommended for coal tar, aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum solvents.
- EPDM, NSF 61 Nitrile, EPDM, NSF 61 EPDM - Good ozone, weather, water, chemical and gas resistance. Not recommended for aromatic hydrocarbons or food applications.
- Epichlorohydrin (Hydrin) - Similar to Nitrile and Neoprene, good in oil, solvent and gasoline. Not recommended in keytones, esters, aldehydes, nitro or chlorohydrocarbons.
- Fluorocarbon Elastomers - High heat, gas and oil resistance. Not recommended for keytones and nitro-compounds.
- Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) - Comparable to rubber in most applications, good resistance to weather, ozone and oil. Has some heat limitations.
- Silicone - Extremely wide temperature range, moderate solvent resistance. Not recommended in acids or concentrated solvents.
Also
- Acetal, PTFE, PFA, TFM, UHMW and PEEK
- Other rubber, PTFE and plastic materials available on demand.
