Used in a fuel system application, a client contracted Western Consolidated Technologies to construct 733 rubber needle seat gaskets. Using a customer supplied print, featuring a two-dimensional auto CAD drawing, we were successfully able to build these gaskets, upholding a (±) .005 inch overall precision tolerance.
Employing a series of machining processes, we used a NRM Extruder to form the general shape of each rubber needle gasket, and then cured the material for thirty minutes under 110 PSI. We then used eighty grit, centerless grinding on the outside diameters to meet precise thickness specifications. After production was complete, each needle gasket measured .381 inches in outer diameter, .292 inches in inner diameter, and .045 inches in thickness.
Using a series of inspection analyses to test product dimensions, we ensured that our high-quality rubber needle gaskets met with precise customer requirements. As with all of our top-notch products, our services we met our clients expectations. |
