This featured PTFE component was custom manufactured by Western Consolidated Technologies. Beginning with a customer-supplied part we reverse engineered and created a 2D auto CAD drawing. We then finalized the design and manufacturing approach with automatic compression molding of the final configuration. Then after sintering the virgin PTFE material we performed an automatic tumbling operation to de-flash the component and remove sharp edges. Once complete, we inspected the component to ensure it adhered to client standards.
The final PTFE component measured .875" in outside diameter, .250" in inside diameter, .235" in width, and featured 80 and 90 degree angles. Throughout manufacturing the tightest tolerances we upheld were +/- .010" . Weighing .021 pounds, the component was then shipped to our client's location.
