Automatic Compression Molded Graphite PTFE Radial Seal for the Power Hand Tool Industry

Western Consolidated Technologies manufactured this featured spring-energized radial seal beginning with a customer-supplied print. Using 15 percent graphite filled PTFE as the primary material, we automatic compression mold and then machine the precision engineered sealed jacket. The component is inspected it to ensure all standards were met. We then manufactured the 301 stainless steel spring within the PTFE component.

Upon completion, the radial seal measured .902" in outside diameter, .598" in inside diameter, and .158" wide. The stainless steel spring measured .006" thick with an overall length of .105". We upheld tight tolerances of +/- .002" during manufacturing. We delivered the radial seal to our client's location.
